Just before the turn of the new year, West Virginia State Parks announced a spirited new expansion to a smooth partnership.
Since 2023, Smooth Ambler Spirits has been bottling its classic Old Scout bourbon for the restaurants and lounges of various lodge and resort parks across the state. From Chief Logan to Cacapon Resort and select locations in between, park patrons have been able sip and enjoy some of West Virginia’s finest. Each bottle has a beautiful custom label distinct to its park or forest, depicting the notable landmarks and stunning vistas we love.
With the expansion comes fresh opportunities to enjoy. New custom labels for six additional state parks and forests have been added to the mix. While this expansion of the original collection is available only at select retailers rather than at the locations themselves, they still serve as great mementos and gifts—a West Virginia–made product honoring some of the state’s greatest assets.
