West Virginia winters are special. I’m giddy just thinking about hiking in the woods after the first fallen snow. Don’t you love walking under a canopy of snow-covered branches, slightly bent from the soft white blanket? Have you noticed how the sound is muffled, almost as if the snow has absorbed all the noise? It’s serene, like stepping into a magical world where everything is softer and calmer.
Every year, I hope for a white Christmas. I want to look outside and see that the world has paused, even if just for a day. As we wrap up 2024, my prayer is this: Peace on earth and goodwill toward all.
Have a wonderful winter,
Nikki
